IS-28 Description

The IS-28 design team leader was Iosef Silimon. The IS-28B2 first flew in Romania in 1973. The IS-28B2 is an all-metal sailplane with a wing span of 17m. The wing profile has Wortmann low drag aerofoils, and the wing is fitted with flaps and air brakes. The low drag fuselage has a semi-retractible mainwheel.
